Stay updated on workflow changes, team activity, and important events.

Notification System

WorkflowHero keeps you informed about important events through both in-app notifications (bell icon) and email alerts. You'll never miss critical updates about your workflows and team.

In-App Notifications

The bell icon in the top navigation shows your notification count and provides quick access to recent updates:

  • Unread Count: Badge shows number of unread notifications
  • Click to View: Opens notification dropdown with recent items
  • Direct Links: Click any notification to go directly to the relevant item
  • Mark as Read: Clear individual notifications once reviewed

Notification Types

You'll receive notifications for these important events:

Team Invitations

When you're invited to join an organization. Includes organization name, role, and invitation from details.

Task Assignments

When you're assigned to a workflow stage. Shows workflow name, stage name, priority, and due date.

Workflow Completions

When a workflow you're involved with is completed. Notifies creators, collaborators, and assignees.

Workflow Status Changes

When a workflow you're involved with changes status (active, paused, cancelled, etc.).

Team Member Changes

When members are added to or removed from your organization.

Invitation Responses

When someone accepts or declines an invitation you sent.

Email Notifications

In addition to in-app notifications, you'll receive email alerts for critical events:

  • Team invitations with secure invitation links
  • Workflow task assignments
  • Workflow completions
  • Important organization changes

Notification Content

Each notification includes:

  • Title: Brief description of the event
  • Message: Detailed information about what happened
  • Timestamp: When the event occurred
  • Action Link: Direct link to the relevant page
  • Context Data: Additional details like workflow names, user names, etc.

Managing Notifications

Take control of your notification feed:

  • Mark as Read: Clear individual notifications
  • Delete: Remove notifications you no longer need
  • Clear All: Mark all notifications as read at once
  • Filter by Type: View specific notification categories

Notification Delivery

Notifications are delivered instantly:

  • In-app notifications appear immediately when events occur
  • Email notifications are sent within minutes
  • Notification count updates in real-time
  • No polling required - notifications push to your browser
